Time for Craig Bryska to make Whitecap disappear

Had enough of this cat and mouse. It's time for the better and bigger company - Veren - to takeover Grant and Whitecap. This will benefit both shareholders as neither name is getting the respect it gets desreved. Short term Whitecap is trading higher only because of a higher yield, but longer term, Veren Energy's best in class wells and executive team are going to pay off substantially.

Folks, I write in letters all the time suggesting that Craig makes Grant an offer to disappear. Grant is getting old and unlikely wants to continue. Both sides would benefit from a merger of equals here and likely such an outcome would lead to greater funds flow from the institutional side.

What do you all think of that.

There is no way that Veren has the expertise or dollars to take out Whitecap. As for Craig Bryska having the reins to run a take over, it would become a total disaster. I do agree that WCP and VRN should have a higher stock value, but VRN has not proved anything that would entice me to buy their shares. Grant is a very intelligent operator and has proved it over many years. Understandably, you are ...more

April 2024 WCP $ 10.64,  VRN $ 12.68 . Its like the Canadian weather , you dont like it, just wait a bit.  Things go into favour and out of favour . Lots of ADHD in the trading world.

whitecap has a higher market cap lol. More like whitecap will take out VRN but I dont think their management is that stupid and they actually care about what the market wants for their share price. More like VRN management will look for some smaller take out targets to run up the debt for their own prospects. To hell with the shareholders!

Its almost like VRN is a takeover target the way its been rangebound lately? I'm very interested to see what the Q3 numbers are going to look like.. should be getting an update on release soon..?

agree. if vrn is not about to take out whitecap it's possible that a larger US player who wants montney exposure is about to buy in. heard lots lately about running out of inventory issues in tier 1 shale. with lng canada starting up, likely gonna see some big deals in canada. there is no cheaper name then VEREN energy and bryska is always a guy who puts his shareholder first. best board in ...more

Ridiculous. Bryska and the entire grifting crew prioritizing their own personal wealth over shareholders needs to be shown the door.

Wcp is too smart to even be in the same room as vrn. The management of Wcp has a great pedigree and the history of vrn has a checkered shareholder friendly rep and  known to be serial issuers. There's a good reason cpg ditched the name ,too many people lost too much money and they are not doing very well as vrn either. Memories are too long and the stink of thier past is impossible to ...more
