wow...Desjardins had harsh words for VRN-they called it a "disasterous Q324 update" and asked why management had been so confident with an alternate drilling technology that ultimately failed.. while they agreed that VRN is cheap, bridges were indeed burned and this company is basically dead in the water until management confidence is restored... so this sounds to me like a 6 month ...more

Perhaps what we've been seeing with the VRN share price meltdown, is a concerted effort by investment firms that lost big on the bought deal, offsetting their losses by shorting VRN into the ground. After the antics of the last year, I suspect there are a few firms holding a grudge.

Agreed, sounds rather suspect that Desjardins might be talking their book with that comment.. IMO.. they wouldn't do that now would they??   ;-)  ;-)

If the CEO would be a nhl hockey coach he would be long time coaching in the minor league .... I mean the pee-wee league we saw ceo replaced for less than that , I know many say " we have faith in Craig " but hey how long you need to have confident , suncor ceo was replace stocks up .... Alta gas ceo replace .... stocks up ..... veren ceo still ceo .... stock turned negative .... some ...more

Drilling for oil and gas is what VRN does. In Q3 they admitted that they're not very good at it yet CEO wonders why the share price dropped...

Not very good at drilling for oil and gas wells?  According to their October presentation on the VRN website, ALL of the top 5 Oil and Liquids producing wells rig released in the WCSB over the past 12 months are VRN wells. Maybe part of the reason for these top performing wells is the willingness of VRN to try new techniques to improve efficiency, cost savings and productivity.  New ...more

Exactly Marty.. there's always small glitches in new processes until they perfect them.. the fact that they're drilling some of the best wells in the area speak for itself.. comments like the previous poster are obviously ill informed to say the least.. and the people in the know use comments like that to skew the narrative to cause doubt.. their operations dont revolve around 1 or 2 test ...more
