Dart

As l am sure you are fully aware from the DJT board , l am not a fan , but it is interesting to try to figure you out.You say , you don't like any of the major 3 political parties in Canada ,, so let's recap. You hate Conservatives and especially Trump for corporate greed , so be it , if that greed generates expansion and additions to the workforce , then l am all for it., as the Liberals kept importing a million new mouthes to feed at the expense of existing Canadians , just to buy votes , it isn't working as of now.You don't like the Libtards as you said you had it made , but they shot your project down , so does that mean you were big into making big money , greedy corporate profits til Trudy and CO , squashed your dream. Then that Rolex wearing mouth Jagmeat , pretending to represent the peons of this country is just too wishy washy , that was your words correct. Well l have a few theories as to your motives and posts. First you could be a big Bloc buddy as you failed to mention them and therefore have seperatist values , or perhaps you are just an Anarchist at heart , or finally a fued in the wool hardline Communist who only believes that the Oligarchs in their Comrade system are worthy of consideration .Any clarification and  not hitting the bully button would most certainly be appreciated and not just by me , as everybody here considers you just another valued member.Abusevis reserved for the M Ron who you might or might not be yet familiar with.

LOL a communist really, maybe you should ask comrad trump those types of questions. I see you are highly educated by they way you post. I am not I am a simple retired tradesman with a very good UNION pension. I was one of those working stiffs that fought to keep a roof over my families head and food on the table which I managed to do better as the years went by and I gained experience within the ...more

I will take your compliment as an attempt at sarcasm , but l give you full credit for your admission of being a Union worker. My ex brother-in-law was a Union worker at Ford in Oakville and then worked his way up the ranks to be one of the members of the negotiating committee , and l saw him on TV a number of times , Your crowd in the boardroom wearing jeans and tshirts , mgmt dressed in suits ...more

From the way you post I take it you are or were some sort of an executive. You have little or no understanding of the building trades unions and when they work. Here is a little window of the life of a building tradesman. In the late 70's it was full employment with strong wage growth, from mid 80's to late 90's it was 80% unemployment with wage give backs. From 2000 to 2015 the ...more

"I am a simple retired tradesman with a very good UNION pension. I was one of those working" I worked for a company who employed highly skilled machinists. Too bad they were not unionised, otherwise they would retire with a larger roof over their heads and an extra refrigerator full of food. No complaints, the company also employed a large number of engineers, technicians and support ...more

I have no problem with people wanting to work for less, that's for them to decide it's their life. I happened to work for a non union company when work was no where to be had in alberta in the late 80's and 90's I went to the NWT and the Cayman Islands with this company. They had benifits and an rrsp they contributed to instead of a pension fund. Maybe do a bit of research and you ...more

I'm not a big fan of unions but recognize that they are needed and if it wasn't for them ALL workers in ALL industries would be making less than they are right now....even "highly skilled machinists"! (Are there any other kind? ;) ) Union members PAY into their pension fund their whole careers. They are required to and don't have a choice. A reason union pensions are " ...more

I agree with 100% of what you said. I paid into my pension for over 44 years it's all part of the negotiated wage package. Hr after hr day after working day for 44 years. Then if you worked long enough and worked enough hrs you earn a good pension. This is what all middle class people strive for that day when all your hard work all those long years come to something of substance. I was lucky ...more

And that says it all about Unions and the government in general .Over paid , underworked with very very handsome benefits and pensions all paid for and by the bulk of Canadians who pay more to support those like Dart who claim he fought against poverty. In every downturn or recession there are nothing but hardships but those protected by Unions are in the scheme of things much more protected , all ...more

"paying dues to some rich dudes in Union headquarters." That would come from the profits of smaller private companies which could be used for investment in business and growth. What a nonsense saying that people are willing to work for less. Most have no choice. Not everyone had a chance or ability for better education, and not everyone is lucky to get a government job which requires no ...more
