If Trump makes it to inaugeration, I think there will be a cease fire called between Ukraine and Russia before February 1st. This will be followed by somewhat protracted peace negotiation. By this time next year Russia will be back to pumping energy on the open market and Russian companies will have restrictions lifted and trading again on the exchanges.

Yes, Russia re-established their control over the Crimea as it was evident the US had no intent of respecting agreements and was pushing to take control of the Ukraine. What was Russia to do... sit back and let the Crimea fall into the hands of NATO? That's total BS, russia's production facilities are processing at less than 50% for two reasons, first the total lack of repacement parts need to keep the plants in opperation are not avaliable to them and the second reason is Ukraine has hit these facitlities day after day and many of them are on fire or have been on fire. Here is some data you can check with a simple google, like I said russian oil is crashing, in 2022 they exported 7.8 mbd in 2023 that droped to 6.7 mpd and now by your own numbers it;s down to 3.48 mpd. Hmm that looks like a massive drop to me ya think!!!!!

Dart, Your numbers include oil plus petroleum products (diesel, fuel oil, naphtha, gasoline). The 3.48 mbd is crude oil only.

Exactly.  Back when the Soviet Union fell the shortage of spare parts got so bad that apparently 50% of the wells failed and came off production.  Some in the arctic had to be re-drilled to bring them back on once western money started flowing in.  It took ten years to bring that production back if I remeber corectly.  The same is happening now.  Not because of cash
