EV's Will not Save the Planet

The other fad that is gaining ground is the Electric Vehicles that presumably will save the planet(?). Ignorance reins supreme here too. According to the law of Thermodynamic, energy is neither created from nothing nor destroyed; it simply changes forms, e. g. from mechanical to electrical or elecrical to mechanical and so forth. The EV's will be using elecrical energy which is produced by burning fossil fuels or nuclear. The more electrical energy we use, the more fossil fuels we will burn. Maybe traveling inside the city the air will be cleaner, but as far as the planet goes there is zero difference. So to what the hoopla then? Nothing. The planet is doomed either way. Maybe changing our life style and using less fossil fuels, using public trasportation instead of driving gas gazzlers to go to the corner store, Might ease the pressure on the planet. EV's is a losing proposition.
