The Nuttall effect?

Could it be that Eric Nuttall has actually convinced these oil companies in Canada to stop trying to grow, keep production flat, pass on the profits to investors - and essentially conspire to keep the WCB oil price high? 


I sure hope so! This global scale price fixing collusion has been the foundation on which OPEC was built upon. It's about time Canadian producers caught wise to what the rest of the world figured out decades ago. If they're really smart they'll figure out how to reach export markets, or even create a pipeline across our own country!

And "NO".  If the oil price keeps climbing, producers will increase output.  So you will get a very high oil price BUT it will be temporary as more supply will flood the market and then it will crash.  If oil stays in the $65-$70 range, there will be no incentive to increase production on a large scale (think shale) and the price of oil will remain at those levels possibly ...more
