Not Making Sense

Financials were quite good, so why are we one of the only Canadian oil stocks in the red? Who is holding the share price back?

Simple case of buy the rumour.. sell the news.. the fact that they didn't wait until the Q3 announcement for the increased divi took away the hype that could have been generated today.. lost all the gains that were made since the divi increase.. not too worry.. this will be short lived IMHO.. I'll bet its green tomorrow.. barring a drop in crude prices.. ;-)

I was disappointed that there were no plan unveiled for exploration. There is a lot of oil that is economic anywhere between $40/bbl and $85/bbl. Cushing is nearing tank bottoms so (theoretically) companies could be doing more exploration to accelerate more free cash flow. I have been thinking some operators will sell assets next year to private equity to return capital to shareholders faster.
