TD Current pre-opening bids - WCP $9.33 CPG $9.25

Looks like those who use dividend income as part of their day-to-day living income were disappointed yesterday and many liquidated their WCP holdings.

But the majority of investors believe that WCP management made a wise move with the XTO deal.
Not all of us need monthly dividend payments to live.
More dividends means more income tax.

Capital gains can accumulate tax-free.
And over time, inflation will reduce the real cost of yesterday's deal.
Or maybe some investors believe that the Liberal-NDP coalition will eliminate inflation. Fat chance!

Ya this happens all the time. The timing of the annoucement and the EX Div date didnt help the price at all
