More $$ for acquisitions, not for us

Once again grant confirms that shareholders come 2nd as compared to acquisitions. Instead of paying down debt, buying shares and rewarding with special or larger dividends he goes forward with rewarding lenders with more debt. After nearly 6 years in the world of depressed energy stocks he fails to reward the shareholder when energy prices rise. Now with higher energy prices, is the time to reward not penalize shareholders. The market has spoken once again as grant dilutes shareholder value.

>Once again Grant confirms that shareholders come 2nd as compared to acquisitions.< Very poor logic!! Grant is a shareholder. Grant confirms that Grant comes 2nd?

I like the deal. All WCP needs is  9 months of high energy prices. IMO we are going to get that. This is a all debt deal,at these prices the debt will get paid down fast.

What if prices don't say above $85 which is what management is counting on for this deal to work? There was absolutely no need to buy this asset at this time. Of course the bank analysts cartel is going to say its good for shareholders.

You have to give him credit he has done well in the past. By all means if one thinks the energy prices are going down then this deal is not the best, but if they stay the same he is a hero.

True grant is a shareholder, but my bet is his volume of shares are about 25 cents. Sure he has been a buyer, but most of his shares are far cheaper than yours. Funny if you look back about 6 or 7 weeks wcp had more insider selling than all of last year. Mind you the stock was above 12$. Not saying "in time" this won't pay off, just saying take this time to reward us, in case as ...more

>Funny if you look back about 6 or 7 weeks wcp had more insider selling than all of last year.< Proving what? As Peter Lynch said many years ago in "One Up On Wall Street", (Quote "Insider selling usually means nothing, and its silly to react to it." page 135)  Why would insiders sell when the stock price is in the sub-basement? Why would ANY long investor sell ...more

Grants shares do come second.  Maintaining his multi-million dollar salary and perks clearly comes first.  Shares for Grant are icing on an already very large and extremely sweet cake.

Agree, the $59,000 BBl price was high....If Grants crystal ball is better than most, this stock will sector perform at best....
