WCP Special Dividend ?

I am happy wcp is not going to the route as cpg to distrubute this special dividend.

To me it's a return of capital and a gimick to attract more investors but it might work out well.

Totally agree! Greed today will burn investors demanding too big of returns. PAY debt n grow for yrs ahead!

Yeah you might have a different view about this had you been a shareholder for the last 10 years.  It's a new world.  So long as governments push their green energy agenda leading the world to believe there is no use for oil by 2030, E&Ps need to adopt a new model that rewards shareholders front and center.  The resource sector has always been cyclical.  ...more

Whether gimick or not, anything to keep shorters on their toes and maybe... just maybe... think twice about shorting is all good in my books.  Canada exchanges really need to tamp down the naked shorting.  If the corrupt exchanges won't do it, then companies definitely need to do more to prevent the attacks on their share prices.
