September 28th, 2022

In a press release two weeks ago, Whitecap stated "...There is no change to our 2023 preliminary plans for production to average 168,000 – 174,000 boe/d on capital spending of $900 million to $1.1 billion and we plan to release our formal 2023 budget on September 28, 2022."

That is only two weeks away.

I expect there will be speculation that a dividend increase effective December will be announced at that time.  As such, since the market is basically a discount mecanism, I expect WCP share price to slowly increase in anticipation of the announcement.

Plan is to increase the dividend when total after-aquisition debt is below $1.8b. Originally aiming for Q4, I would expect current oil prices will push this out to early 2023
