I'm going out on a limb and calling for a divi increase on Thursday's Q3 report to 4 cents/mo. from 3.67 cents currently.. ;-) Lets see if management agrees..?? ;-)

With PSK doubling their dividend today your call may very well be right. Personally I prefer debt reductions but WCP does no have a lot of debt compared to the current market value of their equity.

Oil companies need to up the dividends to attract new money in this volatile sector. Gic now pay 4.5 % without any risk. Hope Grant has some exciting things to say come Thursday..

GIC I get that!!  And hope to some real good news from Grant as well.  Even going to a 4 cent dividend from 3.67 is hardly worth the applause. I still believe share buy backs are number one but share holders should be the next priority, we have all the risk here!!   Looking forward to a decent report as pierrelebel shot a big hole in my expectations, but for good reasons. I was expecting a dividend increase as well. A little disappopinted, especially since they promised. I can wait until mid next year but now I see that they can change what they have promised shareholders.

"...A little disappopinted, especially since they promised...."  I am also slightly disappointed since I expected the dividend increase to be announced at this time.  However, it should be noted that management did NOT "promise" a dividend increase.... they "expected" it without a definite timing.  It could still be December (to be announced mid ...more

I do think they will announce a dividend before the end of this year, no argument there.  In any event, just want to be sure, will I still qualify for the October dividend  if I sell tomorrow? GLTA

According to the Whitecap website shares trade ex-dividend tomorrow. If holding at the end of day today, they you will get the dividend.  Anyone that buys after tomorrow's bell will not. https://www.wcap.ca/investors/dividend-information

To clarify... anyone buying after the opening bell tomorrow will not get the dividend.   Suppose it might have been clearer to say anyone buying after the closing bell today will not get the dividend.
