Own both Cpg and Wcp so would like to see both head higher. Whitecap is in the penalty box lately with the Cra tax implications and the 2021 well leak. We could use something positive from Grant....

"Whitecap is in the penalty box lately..." That is correct. The CRA claim is relatively minor and is not a concern to me. I also own both WCP amd CPG (and other oil/gas producers) and CPG has performed better that WCP in the last several weeks. Looking at the big picture I blame the relatively low price of natural gas in the last six months. NG is more important to WCP than CPG ...more

Could'nt agree more.  I must have missed something as I thought the Feds were going to credit oil companys for "cabon recapture,  never heard that they did.  Im guessing that was just another Fed promo to grab some attention for themselves . Anyways, that aside I have been adding in small increments while the price is still under $10.00 and glad I have been.  While I ...more

I have forgotten the wording, but it boiled down to carbon capture is good except when used by oil and gas. No credit for WCP. It was dissapointing, but there is/was talk of possible provincial credits. This was all a while ago and I haven't heard anything recently.

Thanks Jleer, I missed that.  In the beginning,  "carbon recapture " was going to be a real big deal and not only were we recaturing our own carbon but we were storing for other facilities as well (at least thats what I thought).  Most times "perception is truth" in some way, I guess not this time. We had a pretty decent day overall as long as we dont continue to ...more

If memory serves I thought the Canadian Government with give Carbon Capture credits only if it didn't entail recovering more oil with the process. I could be wrong though.  Either way nice to see Wcp greener today. Performing a lot better then one of my other holdings Suncor. Now there's a dog.

Not really performing that well. . Under $ 10 when WTI is at $ 77 is evidence of share price erosion . Too many repetitive up and down quick movements will erode any stock . This is a long haul investment and only if the industry doesnt implode again. We shoudl be near $ 14 at this point IMO. Not even close. I noticed the dividend anoouncement at 0.0483 again. MEH. He better get to that 0.0608 ...more

Nothing new, gain .12 cents yesterday, give back .23 today. GLTA

Yep. Oil gains $ 2 we get 5 cents. It goes down $ 1.50 we get minus 23 cents. This is a play thing for traders . Nothing more. Very few true investors. I dont see $ 15 dollars for a very loooong time if WCP doesnt get more investors.

Agree Citizen, Im hoping the July financials will be positive enough and will include the  dividend increase which hopefully will generate some new interest, we need it!  We have been flat for too long. GLTA
