Still doesn't own WCP but was very impressed with their latest earnings. Despite not owning, with his forward formulas, he can still see the SP potentially hitting $18.00 in a couple of years. GLTA

WEAK BUY Whitecap Resources(WCP-T) 16/08/2024   Likes it, but can't own everything. Ongoing M&A concern, as management really likes to do deals which requires debt, creating an overhang on the stock. Q2 was exceptional, higher production and lower capex. Good results in Duvernay with incredibly economic wells.    13-15% free cashflow yield. Yield is 7%, very ...more

I would't concern myself about Eric Nuttall's likes or dislikes. He is only into stocks that are going to show a profit in a short time. WCP is a longer term hold with a sustainable dividend, it's a win, win situation. Cheers

Yet trumpets VRN as a stalwart in the sector with a good management team and fiscally prudent. Hilarious how he has no shame talking his book; all while keeping a straight face knowing VRN and others are way way more deal obsessed. Nuttal knows he made a mistake with VRN and is looking for an exit that doesn't implode his fund.
