TSX:WEED - Post Discussion

Canopy Growth Corp > A "US" and "Them" BB
View:
Post by AOGEE on May 29, 2021 10:48am

A "US" and "Them" BB

That is what this BB has become. Very little discussion about the company based on facts or markets and prospects. Yes there is the odd post but it than deteriates into a "US and 'Them" bantering.

I don't post a lot anymore as I cannnot muster up the time or energy to weed (pun intended) through all the garbage being thrown back and forth.

In the spirit and the intention of these BB's I am posting some quarterly estimates for revenue projections from 10 analysts who folow WEED.

Avg. Estimate- 169.03M
Low Estimate- 155.3M
High Estimate- 179M
Year Ago Sales 110.42M
Sales Growth (year/est) 53.10% increase over last years quarter

These analysts also predict a earnings per share loss from -.17 on the high end to -.28 on the low end with an average of -.23 cents per share.
an improvement over last years quarter of -.30.

So as investors or potential investors
of WEED on the sidelines.......
What would
be your strategy going forward with this projected snapshot of earnings?
Is this what the market is expecting from a MJ company in an industry that is still in infancy stages?
OR will this be a bit of a shock and take a dive back the $27 level.

Try to be civil and support your opinion with some data or research.
Throwing bombs like "you should have sold at 44" or "see you at 24" will just be ignored.
If you are an investor (short or long) post intelligently.
I have been reading that the "shorts" shouldnt be ignored if you are true investor...
well here is your opportunity. I am from Missouri..."The Show Me State"..

My opinion....if the markets are somewhat stable after the Memorial Day holiday....
these numbers will be inline with market expectations and the stock will be going green.
This will get the SP back up to the around the $37.75 range for the June 10 vote by FIRE shareholders.
Cheers

Great post, thanks. I too growing tired of the back and forth bashing. Just put the person on IGNORE and move on. Some days it feels like primary school all over again LOL remember Monday is a stat in the USA for CGC and one trading day left in CDA for WEED! Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is my motto! Been here since Dec 2016 and survived some wild trade swings. Nothing scares me anymore ...more

Same here, June 2016 @ $ 2,60 Can. Same Thanks for the posting. Here is my time frame: Anyone happen to know what is worth a share of Seagram since the end of alcool prohibition ? I'll try to google something for fun. 5 years after end of cannabis prohibition $ 2,60 Can is worth over $ 26,00 Can ($31). Lets see in 5 more years. Good luck to all. SM

I'll do ya better. Amazon. May 1997. ipo was $18 USD per share. I know, cute am I right? Close on Friday May 2021 was $3,223 USD per share. And how many stock splits? That's MY mindset for WEED/CGC. There. Said it.

Agreed AOG we are always in need of more news/fact but it doesn't always come fast enough and the misinformation needs to be addressed as well, of which seems to be more prevalent at times especially when waiting. I believe in some of the docs over the course of the FIRE deal the change and action of the new management, with more involvement from it's majority SH Constellation, the ...more

What are you talking about?  Seriously.  What are you trying to say?? The entire market has been in a months-long rotation, there's nothing stable about it right now.  "Us" are the longer term investors, "them" are the part of the shill team.  It's pretty black-and-white, really very binary.  Generally speaking this board discusses Canopy ...more

Fair enough West, we all have opinions...for me this board becomes my home board as soon as my money is  here, wasn't my choice but am okay with it  as it was too late in the game for FIRE to make the changes it made. But until the latest changes in CGC's management and the aggressive moves by the team to grow the business, take market share and clean up the operation overall, I ...more

Let me get this straight...you sold your tweed, "you believe it was called' and bought fire?   There is something very strange about you fire people...do you know Geo?  Very similar...

I noticed that the first day they showed up. For some reason they think FIRE is a big piece of the puzzle. No concept of this Company or industry whatsoever. Welcome aboard but the tail won't be wagging the dog here.

I don't know that is a "big" piece of the puzzle Home, but the puzzle is how much of a mess this company was until a few months ago...Supreme, referred to as 'Canada's #1 premium quality cannabis producer' by Klein, I believe. Supreme has realized profit for the last few quarters, albeit ebitda lite, so it is a solid piece in the  WEED puzzle. With Klein and ...more

That's correct West, in 2015 you people and the rest of us, if you were even around  at that time, used Supreme's ticker SL, I believe...I guess that makes me a WEED alum and a very long, as I am back? Nice to be back. JMHO...Opt
