Canopy Growth Corp > COULD CANOPY FAIL??

COULD CANOPY FAIL??

You know, I didn't think I would ever entertain the thought that Canopy could actually fail, but a review of all considerations at this point now make this a very real possibility. Again, look no further than Nortel, and the similarities are downright scary. Cash burn that is completely unsustainable. Overbuilding capacity that is not needed. Products that completely missed the mark. Firings of the most senior management. The red flags are ALL there people. Like Nortel, the company was consumed by its own bravado and ultimate incapacity to reposition before it was crushed under its own weight. Could this happen to Canopy?? I now suggest that this is now FULLY within the realm of possibility. Imho, the company now exhibits all the red flags of "dead man walking." Sorry longs. I know you want different, but you need to hear and consider that this possibility is now out there.

I fully agree it sucks. I was around this company from the very early days with Bruce, and the potential back then seemed limitless. The mistake people are making here is that they cling to those days and those dreams, when the reality of today and the company's prospects couldn't be more different. IMHO, the writing is now clearly on the wall. Just depends whether you're smart enough ...more

One more comment here. I pay a lot of attention to the short position, and constantly ask "what do they know?" As it applies to Canopy, what is giving them what can only be described s unbridled confidence? I was thinking of some singular event, but now consider that they're actually betting on complete failure of the company. It's a bold move on their part, but the visibility is ...more

Any serious analysis of the current situation can only come to the same red flag conclusions. Other motivations for considering anything positive mostly centre around emotional content and are not based in facing reality. It's where you get sentiments such as "well I've lost too much to sell now", or people marrying the stock, or blindly cheer leading, or thinking they are the ...more

Homestench you show that you know nothing about the cost of restructuring and repositioning, and there is now an active question as to whether Canopy can even do either of these. Nor do you understand how and when raises are done. Canopy is suffering from being a bloated pig and Klein, after several years now, has shown zero ability to bring the company to anything even remotely showing stability. ...more

2 billion dollars.....5 years worth of the most recent quarterly losses. Are you okay. You are such a pathetic basher. In time you will be outed, everyone just has to be patient. And in terms of not knowing anything, you obviously have no idea what it takes to be the winner in a new industry coming out of prohibition. Let me make it easy for you........Money. canopy has that in spades. Stay tuned ...more

Cheer louder my little Clown! Cheer as loud as you want. But your Weed portfolio value tends the ultimate truth. Down about 80% now from where you should have sold?? Bravo! Now tell us all again how smart you are. ;)

How many shares do you own again.......... Oh that's right 0, nada, zilch, bagel, less than one. Now please explain to everyone here why you come on this board and talk utter nonsense but don't own one single share? I'll tell you why. You have no money and that's why you spend time on bull Boards of companies of which you have no financial interest. Pretty much Makes You The ...more

Well Homestench, you're wrong yet again. But hey I'll grant you that you have truly elevated being wrong into an artform. Truly, you have a perfect score on that front. I'm here mostly for two reasons Homestench. First, I have an ongoing multi-year interest in the stock. This is NOT based on whether I have a position, or currently no position. The interest remains the same. Secondly ...more
