I heard another large lay-off today in Smiths Falls, approximately 100 people.

Didn't hear anything about it, even if it's true it's the company trying to balance cost vs production and maximize shareholder value, that's what a good management team is supposed to do.  Never nice to see folks lose their jobs but we have to be realistic about these things, the company will do what is necessary for future profits.

Totally agree! Very unfortunate for those who lost their jobs however decisions like this need to be made. Especially with the lack of profitablity of Canopy.

Companies are not created one day and then turn profitable the next, that is a simple reality.  If you look over the charts for Canopy you can see where the SP was back in 2018 / 2019 loonngggg before it was pulling in the revenue numbers it is today.
