These moves are always difficult to make, but you're far better off for seeing the stock for what it is, and as you correctly say, it's a mess. At least now you won't have to endure further declines, which I think will definitely happen. If at some point in the future, there is more clarity as to the survivability of the company, circle in lower and carry on if you want. But
