is incompetent. Hasn't fixed anything and now throws his hands up and divests all his retail stores. This will not help sales as now they do not control the narrative in their own stores.

This was my one and only worry when Constellation invested. That they would turn Canopy into a small drink division within their Constellation portfolio instead of trying to be the world leader in all things cannabis. Sad really what has become of canopy.

I'm just guessing here, but maybe they have garnered agreements with the stores to still sell Cgc branded products, but now own the building? I am a little confused myself.  I thought that we would not have any more massive write downs next quarter, but I doubt it now.

Same way they and all the other Lp's have been doing the entire time..... You know how the system works right? The producer does not ship to the retail stores directly they ship to the provincal body who distributes to the stores. This is a flawed system set up by the provincal governments.  What it means is Canopy would sell to the OCS then have to buy its own product back to sell it

Grape outlined Canadian Cannabis sales pretty well.  The kicker to Canopy was indeed selling their own product to the OSC then buying it back for their retail outlets.  Had Canada did it's review of the Cannabis Industry on time this model may have been changed and Producers may have had the opportunity to directly sell product to consumers without the overhead of first running the

That is not how cannabis retail sales are handled by all provinces. There IS a world outside of Ontario. Provincial agencies in other provinces regulate the sales - approvals, licencing, inventory/sales records, but do not 'buy' and 'resell'. The issue with retail operations isn't overhead - all retail stores have overhead - the issue is taxation with 50% of the product sale

FWIW Safe in current form does nothing perse for CGC.  However, as BoJo said, it brings legitimatcy to the Cannabis industry being the first bill to pass on a federal level. Safe in current form if passed as is, will require FINCEN or something to that effect to be re-examined along with a few other laws as it does provide some legality to the weed sector. these are BOJOs words not mine

Now he is bragging about bombardier going up 14% in two days, while trying to insult a Canopy shareholder for missing out. Meanwhile Canopy went up about the same amount over the last two days.
