I'm afraid you don't gave a good grasp of what's going on. Canopy has structured the deal and is moving forward, with or without the Nasdaq listing. The TSX has already green lighted the ringed fence set up and Canopy is good with only a TSX listing if that's what it comes to. Safe banking looks like it will happen within the next 6 months. This is a done deal.

Yes the TSX has, but what about the US institutional money invested in the NASDAQ? If this money is forced to leave due to delisting from the NASDAQ this will heavily impact the share price, hence the massive risk as the situation could get dramatically worse for WEED.

This is a p-swing contest between nasdaq and KPMG the auditors of canopy on whether they can consolidate th new USA. If not, it's not the end of the world for canopy to leave their US acctg as is and stay on nasdaq. The info will be published with cDN reporting on the tSx anyways so the investors can see it although they would have to convert it to USD or canopy could report on the tsx in USD

I'd be listening from NASDAQ will definitely negatively impact the stock price. However it has no impact on the cash position of canopy or the day-to-day operations of the business. Adding the US assets into their financial reports will bring in upgrades and more money through the TSX and the short-term pain from leaving the NASDAQ will be just that.. short-term.

I'm hoping that Safe banking passing before this Nasdaq decision or whatever the case may be will impact them favourably in terms of allowing them to stay listed. Even better if Safe has uplisting language. However, if it does have uplisting language, then I'm not sure why CGC couldn't have waited until the decision to see where to go.  Still hard to say where the sector will
