It looks like the gloves are off!

2022-11-18 | NDAQ:TLRY | Press Release | Tilray Brands Inc. (stockhouse.com)

A
lready losing money and Tilray comes up with free pot for women.  Who can compete with that?

My guess is that we will see rapid attrition while the underfunded and unfinanceable bite the dust.

Tilray seems to have a plan and still making acquisitions, especially of alcohol bottlers Stateside.

Canopy seems to be removing itself from Canada judging from all of their "deals" to have hooks in to US MSOs throught creative deals to happen in the future at a time when the US Feds decriminalize pot and they have not only done this creatively but also cheaply, compared to earlier valuations.

They were smart enough to leave themselves a walkout clause to Acreage and sewed the whole deal up for $38 million when it was valued at $4.3 billion just a little earlier.

Canopy needs an Acreage or what Acreage had in the way of bricks, mortar, licenses, grows and IP.

Constellation was smart enough to force a revisit to the Canopy/Acreage deal but it will still be a necessary part of US expansion and if the water gets more murkier than it is already have set themselves up with branding deals and investments and loan securities with other suitable US potpreneurs and hemp players to be able to plant our flag on US soil and claim leadership.

It is a long game with Canopy learning the trade in Canada, trying out recipes and product lines but reality has set in that the government in Canada is moving too slow and maybe giving a little push to the US will motivate the change we are looking for and not just us, but US MSOs too.

Non US based companies want more than a handshake deal that the US won't get all proprietary and protectionist when we set up storefronts to hawk our wares in their backyard.

Forward looking companies are positioning themselves for beverage skus and some are looking a little farther into the future at pharmaceutical level products.

Potpreneurs are going to fall like we are in the period of black death and the smart, financed, well run and forward looking will stand proud at the finish line.

One product sku can make a company so choose your pot investment well.

Who can compete with that? No one.  It's simply a race to the bottom,  where Canopy can not compete whatsoever.  This is just yet another nail in their coffin inho.

its not free pot anyway.  tilray and canopy and the us mso's move up and down based on speculative industry news.  it doesn't matter if canopy is the worst of the bunch - the clown army will drive the price up temporarily until reality takes over
