Canada's RCMP mulling pot policy
The Royal Canadian Mounted Polilice is looking at easing a policy that requires front-line officers and others to refrain from recreational cannabis use for four weeks before duty. This could bolster recruitment of new officers by bringing the Mounties in line with police forces that rule easier on pot use. An internal RCMP briefing note, obtained by Canafian Press recommends a 24-hour restriction on cannabis use before reporting to work, with some exceptions.

Can you imagine getting pulled over by an RCMP officer that is high on pot? You could bribe your way out of a ticket with a bag of Dorittos :P things that make you go.. hummm..

Yes with cannabis in the US still classified as Schedule 1, the most dangerous, it does make you shake your head. But then again the US thinks guns are safe, another head shaker. Get with the program Uncle Sam!
