Eventual Legalization of Cannabis in the US

The topic of legalization of Cannabis has been around now since Canada Legalized.  It was expected by many by now but yet to materialize.  I am monitoring the number of individual US States with either Recreational or Medical Cannabis Legalized in one way or another.

My current research indicates that apx 44 US States have some form of legalized Cannabis now (either med or rec) with apx 23 US States having Adult Recreational Cannabis legalized.

My own theory is that the steady progression of individual states moving to legalize will apply pressure to the US Federal Government and eventually put them in a situation where they will have no other choice but to legalize or risk looking like a bunch of blooming idiots (maybe they are ok with that, who knows?).

Anyhow, if you are do some some research on the topic I am sure you will find that the numbers noted above are indeed accurate.  My theory on how the US will be forced to legalize if my own however I see it as reasonable to expect.

Best Regards

I believe the stumbling block for US legalization has only been compounded with the new House speaker whom I understand is anti-pot. Combine that with Schumer who is supposedly the driving force for pot legalization in the US for the Democrats spouting off that the proposed bill needs to be shmoozed over with the Republicans, some more! Take a look at how he voted on the pot bill for veterans to ...more

Cannabis producers in Canada are facing one common challenge in terms of profitability with that being Taxes.  Canadian reform is overdue (now by months) where the Canadian Federal Government is expected to come forth with new regulations.  Canadian Producers have been pushing for lower tax rates which will translate directly to their profits, if / when that should materialize.
