Back in the heyday

Canopy had a marketcap of over $20 billion, not much less than STZ's.

Interestingly STZ's marketcap has increased by about $20 billion since those days and Canopy's marketcap is about 500 million.

STZ has put their management in to Canopy, Acreage, Terra, Wana and probably the rest of them too who they invested in or financed.

Klein changed the story by screaming that the financials were no good but continued to buy in to these brands because they were good brands.

Linton was building a dream and managed to finance the building of Canopy and did the deal with Acreage and everybody was happy and making money.

Remember that STZ coughed up a huge sum of $5 billion for their first investment in to Canopy but also changing the measuring stick to financials he started the snowballing that has affected almost every pot stock listed.

There is a bigger picture going on for when he changes up to building Bruce's dream.

It's all about how you look at things, glass is half full or glass is half empty.

The biggest thing that bothers me is that most of this consortium is so close to bankruptcy, all the while, they are announcing black ink.............soon, like next financials but keep missing it, like several times.

If he pulls off the sting that he has built in to these companies, Canopy and Acreage shareholders will be left with wallpaper shares and Canopy USA will be activated at full speed ahead.

My guess is that STZ lending will again finance the US expansion and all of the best collaterol from Canopy and Acreage will be pulled in to the new US MSO.

Or he could do the right thing and take the Canopy shareholders along for the uptick expected from the US launch.

Acreage shareholders too, who have been gutted so bad by Murphy's crew bleeding all of the money out of Acreage and devastating the share value that most of us think our shares will be a total writeoff.

It really pizzes me off that Klein won't declare which shareholders he is backing.

He could have done a nr before the consolidation saying that Canopy was going along for the turnaround and doubled the shareprice, easily imo.

Instead he jumped the gun and castrated Canopy and Acreage shareholders have another consolidation built in, if they honour their deal to vend Acreage in to Canopy.

What I see is disconcerting and the premature consolidation just leaves a sick feeling that I am right that he is going to screw over Canopy and Acreage shareholders for everything they have invested.

Marketcap is shareprice x share count, it goes up and down as a shareprice changes. You can have the biggest oppt of a lifetime sitting in front of you and if the shareprice and share count are both low then so will be the marketcap. Canopy's marketcap increased slightly today, because the shareprice edged up a little. Ironically they could issue shares for a merger of another company and ...more
