Depends on how the Brokers (on average) are handling the shares.  Brokers have the option to lend out the same shares multiple times so what appears in the short report may be understated with multiple shorts on the hook to buy back (cover) the same shares. Short shares are also optional to report.  It is safe to say that not every share held in short is included in the short reports

Sadly, for shareholders of Canopy and Acreage, this is the best example of why shortselling should be outlawed. Shortselling is just another investment tactic that is very profitable or costly for those involved. Why do longs worry so much about short selling when it's an opportunity to average down?  You already did your analysis hopefully before you bought so what is the problem? Is the company having trouble getting value from their dilution?

Short selling is an opportunity to average down until the knife cuts the other way. I hope you do well with your shortselling investments but I also hope that you are just taking advantage of a downtick in shareprice to average down. Shortselling is not an investment tactic for weak hands and average investors. You have amazing forces working against you benefiting as a long player. Short

Last month the intrest I was receiving was in 90% range. I absolutely lend out my shares. It's like a dividend comes monthly :).  Since 2014 I've received well over 100k in intrest .

What I never understood, given cannabis popularity is why Trump or Biden has not annouced that they would federally legalize on day 1 of their administration. Would that not provide them with a boost in the younger vote?
