Correct pony. Different race.

I, too, am here in WEF as a catch-up play. It seems illogical that very ordinary lumber should be at stratospheric prices while high quality stuff goes begging. But I lived in Alberta a long time and I avoided forest product investments for decades as I concluded I was clueless in figuring out this industry. US tariffs imposed? Oh, that's a great reason for lumber stocks to go soaring.

So while I think that 2-carat gems from Tiffany's ought to be worth way more than 1/10 th carat diamond chips from Hyderabad Jewellers, I've got stock market scars that remind me otherwise.
I, too, won't be waiting forever for my bias to be confirmed. But I wouldn't select such a round obvious number as 90 cents as one's stop loss point.

Off topic, here's a horse of a different colour: NFI - New Flyer Industries. I don't want to put a hex on it, but it sure looks like it's breaking out and wants to go higher. There's a flood of Tesla wannabes on the US market. To name a few: NIO, Nicola, Li Auto, Green Power, Fisker, XPeng, Lordstown, etc., etc. Until very recently, it was most helpful to the share price if your company was (a) Chinese and (b) not actually producing anything.

Now, NFI is playing catch-up although the fact they actually produce buses, conventional. hybrid and otherwise, might yet prove to be a stretch of logic too far.

who knows with New Flyer, you gotta think buses are mostly empty right now, can't see a lot of demand until or if people go back to work.. pays a nice divvy so you cna get paid while you wait,,  https://stockchase.com/company/view/2386/NFI-T should have bought it a few years ago when it was the darling of the analysts ..

WEF just closed at a 2 month high but has a long way to go. Just based on catchup, WEF should be $2 a share. However, based on actual lumber prices, production, and outlook and now with US tarrifs now decreasing by 60% and adding $5M+ in net profit a quarter, let alone potential refund of 75% of duties held, easily justifies $2.50 or perhaps as much as $3 a share. There is a long way to go in this ...more
