WEF Stratedgy Shift to International Markets

With elevated prices, favourable exchange rate WEF has also shifted more of its export to international markets.  This will more than offset U.S. tariffs.

There is still a drag going back to the strike and the volitility in lumber prices last year.  However, markets and WEF performance have changed dramatically and people are starting to wake up to that and WEF share price is showing strength. Stock market share value is not reflective of intrinsic fundamental share value.  Stock markets can over and under value shares. In the case of WEF the stock market is undervalueing WEF.   WEF currently has the highest share buy back program it has every had. There is a chart on WEF's presentation showing they have shifted more of their sales to export markets.  I tried positing it but Stockhouse did not put it up.  Their system likely does not accomodate it. The graph shows WEF shifted exports from 29% to 54% internationally.  That is very significant. This will reduce supplies going to U.S. Removal of supply to the U.S. markets will support elevated prices and circumvent U.S. duties.   It is a significant shift.  If other producers are doing the same it represents significant blow back for the U.S. having imposed punitative duties to ...more
