should WEF increase the divi or buy cancel shares in 2023 ?

its amazing how many shares WEF has bought and cancealed in the last few years !! outstanding shares went fom 468 million to 316 million,,,i think 2023 is the last year that you can buy back shares before the new tax law comes into effict so i suspect that WEF will continue to buy and cancel shares @ an excelerated pace in 2023,,the dividend will be much easier to pay in the future with the low share count

Go hard on the share count and reduce the float as much as possible.

yea i was heavy in oil and gas last 2 years and have moved some profit here beuause WEF is way to cheap and the amount of shares WEF repurchased canceled is nothing short of spectaclular!!  the dividend is good to,,just seem like every chance WEF gets they reward share holders

WEF has been good to me over the years, however I have entered and exited a few times.  The current low SP does not bother me as it still pays a decent divvy while waiting on SP to gain traction.  It seems the stock beaten down further than its peers and provides better buying opportunities.  The largest risk I anticipate is it may be awhile to see meaningful returns to a decent SP. ...more

I am not a rabid fan of share buybacks. I can see it when the share price is incredibly low, which is where we are at right now.. so yeah...but otherwise leave it for those companies that habitually increase their float with options to insiders in lieu of cash.  Concentrate on increasing the profitability of the enterprise is what I would tell mgmt. Give me the divvy as my reward for being a ...more
