Typically when a sector gets this week, it triggers Mergers and takeovers.

WELL will be sold or will merge with someone big - there is no doubt in my mind. the insider ownership is too high to ignore such a possibility. WELL also has a few key early stage investors, including Li Ka Shing. if you tally up the ownership, these guys and management control the company. I agree with you. I wonder however if WELL's weakness which is more sector related rather than company specific... could make WELL a target for an aggressive takeover at unfavourable terms. I'm not sure how the shareholder and voting structure is and if Hamed and Li Ka Shing can fight off an aggressive take over bid... retail is probably quite unhappy with the YTD performance (-18%) and ...more

I highly doubt this would happen. I believe the entire company is 25% owned internally, and a hostile take over would take quite some money for such a high risk growth stock.
