WELL's short position increased in a big way:
Nov 15th 3,437,845
Nov 30th 6,184,869
Net Change = 2,747,024 https://www.canadianinsider.com/short-report?ticker=WELL that is one of the biggest swings I have seen since following this stock - the shorts really piled in here.
there is nothing company-specific behind the recent share price drop. just really terrible market sentiment and this shorting. this probably cleaned out a huge swath of scared retail traders, which likely didn't help things.
fundamentally, I don't see much if any downside from here on in (barring any bad PR) given the strong cashflow of WELL. there is real financial performance underpinning this stock now, unlike many US telehealth names which aren't cashflow positive or turning a profit.
I feel better after seeing this, knowing some of these short positions will need to be closed. any good PR could also set off a quick buyback.
