Working on something big...

WELL might be working on something big, a relatively large acquisition that is taking a lot of time to conduct due diligence. With all the cash on hand, free cash flow, plenty of room on existing credit lines and ability to increase credit lines as well, WELL would not be off the mark in picking up competitors/assets at these deflated market valuations. Healthcare is a highly sticky, inelastic part of the market.

I have been saying this for quite a while - they have lots of dry powder, have 2 solid cash compounding businesses, and have lots of available credit on the lines for CRH and MyHealth. both of these debt facilities have accordion features which allow them to be upsized, without a fresh credit application, in the event they are being used to make acquisitions. seems logical they would put this to ...more

They can do without the fluff news releases imho They should just focus on the business and investors will see the growth at the quarterly's.

Yup...those releases make them look bush league.

Possibly wise... entices more shorts into the game for the big SQUEEEZE... then shake them out forever.

It's a catch 22 - don't send out any reports and people feel like you're hiding something, send out to many reports and people believe you're fluffing. I'd rather have more information than none IMO

it's not binary.  provide material news and updates.  skip the fluff. if management is truly in it for the long term, then short term stock price noise shouldn't distract them from generating long term signal. so skip the fluff, it is only useful for short termers
Comment by Noshortsallowed on Mar 22, 2022 7:39pm
Short term price movements don't affect long term investors but short term price movements are an OBVIOUS issue for the management team. Especially when a lot of the non-public covenants with respect to their loans might be affected by a certain price that could cause the lenders to say the deal is off and demand payment (even though this is extreme and would usually only happen prior to ...more

Many of them might be liable to buy because of irrational optimism (encouraged by some on this board and other boards).
Comment by Noshortsallowed on Mar 23, 2022 12:54pm
Except the difference is that bashers on this board never give a coherent reason as to why WELL is not doing a fantastic job and won't grow exponentially over the coming years in an exploding sector.  So the bashing is irrational because it lacks a logical basis.  But those of us who support the stock regularly give reasons for our bullish outlook when we point to the fundamentals ...more

You are mixing up multiple issues: 1. Loans from credible sources do not include stock price targets.  They are based on assets and/or cash flow within the company, not on share prices.  The reason for this is simple: lenders' security is always based on things INSIDE the company, not OUTSIDE the company. 2. There may be acquisition deals with collars that could blow up.  Even ...more

Interesting you suggest that short term price movements shouldn't concern the management team as it is outside their control and in the very same comment use it to justify your skepticism of the management team. Do you read your comments and think about them before posting?
Comment by jdsd0517 on Mar 23, 2022 5:59pm
*sigh* I will use smaller words and smaller thoughts so you can understand I am skeptical of all management teams that appear to worry about short term price movements; ergo, I am skeptical of the WELL management team that worries about short term price changes. There is nothing inconsistent in what I said. Quick question for you:  is "noshortsallowed" about stock trading, or the ...more

*sigh I will use your own words verbatim then to prove that in fact you did criticize the management for worrying about short term price action and then also used short term price movements as an indication they were not doing a good job: "Worrying about short term price fluctuations is bush league for a good management ...Everyone on this board talks about how great the management team is ...more

*even bigger sigh* Three things: 1. Not sure how to break this to you, but this is an anonymous message board on a second rate site for microcap stocks.  I am full of it, you are full of it, everyone on here is full of it.   2. You quote my words correctly but you clearly didn't understand them.  The fluff releases look like short term price management which equals bush ...more

Not just in your book.

You got caught saying the polar opposite thing in the same comment and now you are trying to move the goal posts. Pathetic
Comment by jdsd0517 on Mar 24, 2022 11:57am
*sigh* haven't been caught doing anything but being consistently skeptical you've been outed as someone that understands almost nothing about financial analysis.  instead of picking stocks, you might as well hit the roulette wheel...
