This was obviously prior to today's acquisition. GLTA

ECN Capital Corp, WELL Health Technologies Corp., Nuvei Corporation , Brookfield Corporation.

Perhaps my biggest mistake is holding on to losers too long and taking big hits. Recently I've promised myself to sell when I'm down 25%. So, I'm now down 25 or more % on these 4 companies but don't want to sell. What is your advice?

We think a HOLD or even BUY case can be made for any of these. WELL in particular has reported good earnings. BN should recover as it spends its large available capital. NVEI missed earnings but is very cheap and has cash. ECN missed badly but remains up for sale. But some of these will require patience, and only BN can be considered a 'blue chip'. We would take a look at one's risk tolerance, timeframe and personal 'rules' closely before deciding on any action. (5iResearch)

I've had a few absolute dogs in the past year (MULN , BBLN). I usually sell if there is a 25-30% loss and only divine intervention will help. I only sold these losers when I was tired of looking at the red figures stating the loss every time I looked at the account.
