from my contact with Western potash

Thank you for contacting us and thank you for your ongoing interest in Western Potash. Our current focus is to obtain the necessary funding in order to build at Milestone. I understand that publically, there haven’t been many changes in the past few months with respect to this. During this time, we have been involved, and are still involved, in ongoing negotiations with numerous parties - these negotiations could take some time and will remain confidential. We are optimistic that the metrics of our project and our efforts in negotiations will deliver financing sooner rather than later – however, we accept and understand that there are macro factors that affect the timeline making it unknown at this point. I am not sure where you saw that we would complete financing in 2014, however, I do recall our timelines once reflecting a 2016 production start. This was based on our Feasibility Study (completed back in 2012) and was presented as a best case scenario. That timeline no longer applies as it reflected the build to begin in 2013. Just to give you an idea, it will take approximately 3 ½ years to get to production after the build begins. We do have our AGM coming up in February, it will be an opportunity to hear an update and ask questions about our strategy going forward - perhaps this would be of interest to you to attend. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions. Sincerely, Angela Aydon Corporate Communications Manager Western Potash Corp. 1400-1111 West Georgia Street Vancouver, British Columbia V6E 4M3, Canada T: 604.689 WEST (9378) F: 604.689.8199

Do you see any other greenfield potash company charging ahead at $320 potash?

This is the standard "template" jargon that Ms. Aydon and the management has pulled together. This email is similar to several many of us have received since the $30M investment from China Blue. Needless to say the tune has not changed..."we have been involved, and are still involved, in ongoing negotiations with numerous parties".  So it seems they have made any progress ...more
