Buy & Hold and make money

White rock has become a "rock" of an investment.
Buy, Hold, sleep well at night.
As was mentioned time is on your side with this one.
The recent deal announced :

Will add 14% to the companies management protfolio. Add 6% to the projected AFFO at a reported .04/unit.
That reporting is based on post new issue.

Interesting, I have held wrk for around 5 years. every year is more exciting than the previous.
Whiterock is crossing over the line. Slowly leaving its young roots behind and becoming a middle range REIT.
Disclosure: I own a bus load of WRK. Bought more last week, Tuesday and again today.
This recent deal and the forthcoming next deal will stabilize the portfolio. Pressently at 9 million Ft2 under management, spread across most provinces.

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/news-sources/?date=20110726&archive=ccnm&slug=201107260715443001 The recent expansion is white rock's first into the usa. this one has excellent long term outlook. As the canadian $$$ is presently at an all time high, any increase in the US$$ will directly effect the returns. Eventually the u.s, markets will stabilize and whiterock will ...more

Hey canadafan, I'm actually a bit concerned about this expansion into the US - not a good looking place for investment at this time IMHO. That said, I did add some more shares today, based on the canadian content. I don't quite get your excitement over the US $. I believe it will go a lot lower before they actually come to grips with the underlying issues with their economy - if they ever ...more

An interesting acquisition...  I think the popular perception that the U.S. will dry up and blow away, is simply wrong.... and the alarmism over the "debt crisis" is overblown. After all, it's a fractional-reserve banking system, right?U.S. institutional investors might become interested in Whiterock, even if the Canadians aren't. Whiterock will be raising the distribution ...more

Real estate, especially residential is relatively cheap in the States right now.  The question is whenever or not have we reached the bottom.  I think, we're close.  But I'm basing this on housing data.  Commercial/Industry properties, which White Rock aquired is a different story. US currency will go back up, no doubt about that.  Question again is when.
