You need to look at the relative comparison to Dundee. WRK is actually trading above the ofer becasue of dundee price. look past that and you will see that theupside for dundee is even higher than the wrk 20% premium. Not this week, but in the future.   I did as mentioned take my profits off the table, but will be a substantial Dundee holder going forward have no trouble holding at 7.5% yield ...more

understood.  yeah, I love it. its not a surprise d.un is moving.  it was way too low before.  it was an easy guess that wrk was moving higher from $16.  If this takeover is a new experience to anyone they should memorize exactly what happened here and how wrk.un and d.un reacted.   how are you calculating you are getting D.UN with a 7.5% yield?

That was a typo, that I could not retract. Shoud have read 6.5% It actually closer to 6.3% as we speak.The "offer" of $16.25 (WRK)units /.4729 (D.Un) units comes in at 6.4%. So my "calculated" cost , that is in comparison for taking all cash, is 6.4%. Since it is payable monthly and compounded if on a drip. The annual return is highr than that,like above 6.6% Being a moving ...more

As I said, typical reaction.  +/-3%, that is 16.74-15.76 range is not unexpected.  Usually buy out news attract more daytraders, thus putting in more volume then normal.  I guess in the cases of REITs, there is not as much daytraders paying attention.   Check out Northgate minerals buy out a few months back.  If there's any data you can find.  Very simular, a ...more
