I'm not wary about Rio trying to screw us over, our current share structure prohibits a hostile takeover, etc. But certainly curious about what he's referring to. This seems to be before my time in the sector.

and in the interview, Dale indicated WRN will continue to be sole owner and operator of Casino right now. That seemed like an important point he wanted to make. Reading between the comments from Dale, i also got the impression Rio wanted a bigger position and/or perhaps wanted a JV right now? ....or an outright purchase right now? but seemed like WRN wasn't interested in that right now anyway

LOL you're killing me with the 18 months Sooner. Between the conference call, and the Gabelli interview CB posted yesterday, I can gather the following: Rio, 6-8 months ago, approached WRN about setting up a JV where Rio had 9.9%. We balked at that for 1) not wanting to give them that much up front and 2) we're really interested in selling all. Right? We can't build this ourselves. So

JC, as Paul stated in his recent interviews, we now have enough $ to complete additional exploration at Casino, the PEA, FS and complete the Permitting process. In Dales last video interview, he stated we want to catch the next Copper pricing increase at $4.50-US/lb, and we want to be as shovel ready as possible when copper prices increase the next time round. I think were are  getting

Clark - i'm stating 18 months because i just have no personal experience with something going from $1.5 to $10 (or whatever many of you believe Dale's bottom price is) within 6 months. I agree - either it's Rio within 6 months or it's not and then we start with new partner.

"JC"...  As a 15 year investor following the path of Dale/WRN, I think you are RIGHT ON with your projections!  Yet, there is still a pretty good chance of a "bidding war" involving NEM (and maybe others).  It all favors us, as WRN shareholders!

Possibly, but the figures will be much higher!  Penasquito sold for $1.6 B without any copper and only 2m oz of gold!!  WRN is light years ahead on Penasquito given the new prices of gold and copper and the massive increases in the resources plus the safe environment offered by Yukon/Canada!
