Hypothetical

I would love to be a fly on the wall in these negotiations.

and more importantly I would love to know what Dale's bottom line for outright sale would be in 6 months. Based upon replaying an interview from him in 2018, I would have to say somewhere around the Pensquito Mexico mine $1.5B ? ....since he implied they are very comparable ( realizing diffferent metals , etc). One interesting comment though in that interview is he stated he believes he will eventually be proven right and that he is a very patient.....so I personally think it's in the $10 usd range for his bottom line but just pure speculation. I do wonder at what point would they really be required to bring it to shareholder vote. I mean it it was a $7usd offer...would they really be fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities if they didn't bring that to a shareholder vote????

wonder for anyone who has been around longer and or have better insight to management what the thought is....

In terms of fiduciary duty to the shareholders, remember their marching orders are not just to generate value for us but rather to maximize value for us. Here's the thing about any future acquisition, the suitor (good chance it is RIO) will have to make nice and play ball with the BoD.  Sure, they could do an end around, attempting to bypass the BoD, but in a hostile takeover event the ...more

You are all mad if you think a major will pay 10 dollars a share for western.  That would be well over one billion dollars to have the privilege of spending another 4 billion to build this thing.  Utter madness.  Be careful.

Then it is going to drag on much longer than 6-18 months and we will have ongoing stalemate. If Dale believes Casino is equivalent to Pensqauito and that sold for $1B+....there is no way he would do something not close to that. Then we also have contradictory implication from him that he thinks Rio is going to make an offer for entire company soon rather than later. I don't think he would tip ...more

Cb  that's me reasonable expectation based upon valuations- I'm hoping that my 200k goes up $2.5 usd from here....that would put our market cap at around $700M usd ($4.5 x 155M shares) of course im open for higher number haha....but trying to have expectations that are very reasonable!

cb i think GT Gold was $311M usd or 85% = $365M and they have about 2.2 X the amount of copper and gold as they have....so i think more like $800M usd which would be $5.5 usd per share. How are you coming up with $1500M? So many different ways so just curious.
