Year ago Copper = $3.0/lb and now $4.3/lb Year ago WRN = $1.4 and now $1.6 Copper has gone down from $4.8 to $4.3 and WRN has gone from $2.8 to $1.6 at this rate, if Copper goes down from $4.3/lb to $3/lb we will be trading at a negative $2 and at a minimum no where near $1.4 like a year ago The Rio news has been sold and we are now trading as if that news never even happened...and trading like ...more

It is simply because unlike most publicly traded companies, our management team does not seem to understand the improtantance of regualr news and updates regarding progress of activities beyond the same old song and dance they give at every conference they attend.  I watch quite a few junior mining companies that are WAY smaller and WAY earlier in the process that give signifcantly more ...more

What news can management gin up for you that would make you happy?  There are only three things left for management to do at a minimum: 1)  Get all 2020 drilling season core samples sent to the lab for assays. 2)  Utilize the assay results to further bolster the project's NPV in an updated PEA. 3)  Shrewdly negotiate with RIO and or others in order to get the $15+ per ...more

exactly that.  Why not provide weekly updates on 2021 drill campaign progress, who many cores have been sent in for analysis, any early results coming in, etc.  There is activity onsite every week.  There is ZERO reason they can't communicate progress.I can't imagine their week if void of any new information flowing into the corproate HQ or at the site.  Not all of that ...more

Yep, lousy management. All they've done this year is complete a PEA, done a deal with the world's 2nd largest miner, raised a bunch of cash to ensure liquidity, finishing up a big drill program with Rio, finishing up a feasibility study and all during Covid. They have a plan and are working it. They will update us when they have something to report. Vitton will carry this thing across the ...more

Never called them lousy management.  I did call them lousy comunicators.  I think the evidence supports that.

In April 2011, it peaked at $4.18 Canadian. In January 2009, it was .20 Canadian. I picked up big time at .30 in late 2008/early 2009. Felt pretty smug when it rode up to $4.18 in roughly two years. My only regret is that didn't sell off at $4.18 and buy back again after that drop. Still, my average buy in price is .68 and believe this still has a long way to go.

my average price is around 2.30 cnd for my current holdings. albeit ive been in and out of this dog more times then I can count and have made good money re same. so my true average cost is closer to a dollar cnd. still justice delayed is justice denied. a small amount of my holdings are 11 years in vintage. that's too long.

Management is judged based upon market cap/ share price....not all those accomplishments you've listed. In fact raising cash a few weeks after publicly stating they already had enough to get casino thru permitting would be considered a failure by many of us....not an accomplishment...unless you consider share dilution an accomplishment. At a minimum even if a good decision in your mind...you ...more

Big fan of this message board, reading the different opinions on what management should/shouldn't do or say. Thanks to everyone for their input. I seldom post anything because I'm not nearly as attached to this company as many of you are (invested since they were first formed), but here's my take... I first bought into WRN last year because I was intrigued by large conentration of ...more
