Bidding War Appears Key for GB, How about us?

Casino is a far superior project to Great Bear’s project and they arranged a great deal for their stockholders. Kudos to them. But if they did it, why can’t we?

, were offered the opportunity to bid on Great Bear. The parties were given access to Great Bear’s confidential data, conducted site visits at Red Lake in Northwestern Ontario and almost all tabled formal offers.

 

The Globe and Mail is not identifying the sources as they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. Kinross, Barrick, Agnico and Evolution declined to comment. Newcrest did not respond to a request for a statement.

Thanks Steve, some great takeaways here. Above all, there's obviously no competition for WRN. 5 bidders in play for GBR, wonder when word started leaking out among each of the 5. Q1 is our last best chance to get FOMO going.

This should be: Fear Of Missing Out for Majors. Believe this is what may have motivated Kinross. Get in early before the big cats a few years later. Also, believe this may indicate a turning plate for juniors, especially Copper and Gold. Before juniors depended on majors like an up-and-comer trying to negotiate a deal to the big league.
