Gratvalyou, R U Out There?

Grat, I’ve always enjoyed your take on things. Haven’t heard from you in ages. Know you said you would be in hibernation mode until we hit $3, but is it okay to prod you to wake up from your winter slumber and get your opinion? Copper has just broke $10, final drill results in beginning of February and looking good. FOMO scenario at hand. Would love to get your two cents. Whatever I respect it. We both have been very long term on this. Not always same take, but certain respect and trust yours.

I have aroused from my slumber to see nothing much has changed in the last 10 or 12 yrs. Alot of hype with paid for videos etc.A couple of things tweek my intrest tho. .....57 mil in cash (would make a nice dividend to us long term bag holders in event of a buyout) .....almost 2 mil on the short list seems when ever a large invester jumps in wether it be a major or ES the stock price suffers. Using cash in event of a buyout for a dividend??? I would think highly unusual - any examples of that historically? 50% of NPV as buyout at current metal prices? Not likely - let's target 30% x $3.2b usd which gets you .... you heard it first from the one and only Sooner....$6 usd/share !!! alternatively use headline NPV in PEA but apply a more reasonable discount factor and 40% NPV ....$6 ...more

Sooner, since you're playing the role of Devil's Advocate, let's hypthetically give you an honourary seat on the BoD.  Great, now you are the 6th member of the BoD.  I know you've been harping your $6 figure for some time, but unfortunately the BoD will outvote you 5:1 in this hypthetical situtation.  Actually, Dale would probably convince the other 5 members to give ...more

Right....but for every one of those examples i can find similar examples where premium not nearly as high. Look at what Josemaria sold for....which is one of the comps that WRN has on our corp presentation. $485M USD. Using your approach of just metal value...according to our corp presentation we have close to 2 X copper equivalent so that would be $970M usd ....which is $6 usd/share! Realize ...more

sooner, I think, your $6 figure is rational . One question: let's assurme a scenario: April 2022(before Rio 1 year aggrement finish), share price reach to $6 but takeover doesn't happen yet, will you sell it?
Comment by Sooner on Jan 16, 2022 7:05pm
In 3 months, and we go up 4x share price....most likely I sell 3/4 of my shares and retain the balance. However, it would really depend on situation as I'd prefer to roll into Rio or Newmont shares! If it goes up that fast, I'd imagine we would have news of 2 majors involved....

ok, got it. Let's hope they can settle this year.

The pending buyout will likely be about 6-9 months away.  We don't know what environment we will be in when this happens.  The PEA, as I stated before, was more or less obsolete the minute it was produced since it was using outdated prices and a soon-to-be outdated resource size. Big difference between a resource at $1,600 and a resource (10% larger?) at $2,500.  People ...more
