BC Government Shoots Down Copper & Gold Project

I’ve said this before: no ESG, no mine. I don’t care if it is Pebble, Morrison, or Elizabeth. No ESG!!! No mine!!! None of these three projects will be built. Ever!!!Period!!! The US and Canada are the two safest jurisdictions in the world for two of the hottest up and coming commodities: copper and gold. And the ONLY strong project in Canada or the US with strong potential for take over is Casino. There is NOT one other strong up and coming copper & gold porphyry in either of the two safest mining jurisdictions, which means: when this baby rocks, it’s gonna fly.

Hi EvenSteven Interesting reality check. Look at where BKM may open today ?   This just shows why the market is not given WRN any value to the $8 to $10 buy out value ! IMO   The market does not trust anything,(could happen) to when Rio makes an offer we will see that jump in our share price ! Place your bets now Las Vegas style ! V:BKM - Pacific Booker ...more

The new Bre- x to the market  (BKM) from 4.15 to .98 on one decision from Government ! This is the reason the markets don't pay up to the value of a resource stock like WRN. If the Rio buyout price is $8 to $10 for WRN and the market price is $1.85 then the differance must be "time" and "risk" ?  This is like playing the Odds Board at a race track,,, the market ...more

Marine--Low end ($8.00 Canadian) pretty close to Sooner's and my own $6.00 USD.. Preumptupously, I would recommend you reconsider your idea of mortgaging the house as an expression of your conviction on your target goal range---Your conviction comes through loud and clear--mortgaging the house is unnceessary at this time! A lot can happen to upset tjhe applecart! Yourr posts are most ...more

Arrow, you, Sooner's target price is ok, rational, but it is not so important, because asking price will be decided by HNW, Bod, not by us, normally, we only have one choice:accplep the number which throw to you, such as $4.5, yes, you can fight, but normally it has no much important because there always some special excuse. I agree these numbers of $6, $10, $12, all ok, but I concerns about ...more

Garden Yes you are right--I agree 100% it is boring but not a lot going on anyway at this time-- In any event I am hoping for a closing transaction in 2022 The only important (IMO) thing I may have added recently was the idea that RIO at current ($78 USD) could probably acquire WRN for approximately 1% of their 1.6B shares outstanding. If for some reason  a deal went "down the tubes" ...more

Arrow, yes, it will be win-win deal, Rio is professional to check the core reserve to derisk the capex, normally we should get the whole drill results, maybe whole drill results come out, the market will have some confidence on takeover.

Hi Arrowhead I have been a shareholder since 2006 / 18 yrs !  February 24, 2006   "Glamis Gold Ltd. says it has struck a $1.2-billion all-stock deal to acquire Western Silver Corp". "Investors reacted by sending shares of Western Silver up $5.28 to $24.80 on the TSX on Friday. Shares of Glamis slipped $1.11 to close at $33.62." (This was a $1.20 stock for ...more

Ditto that, Marine! I got into that project at .90 and rode it all the way up. Made a killing. After the Penasquito deal was slam dunked, I slid right into WRN, as well, and have been here ever since. Believe me, I wouldn’t have been holding on this long unless I recognized the true value and believed it would happen. I won’t be arrogant as to say where this is going. No crystal balls. But double ...more

Marine - wouldn't you think the govt road to Casino is evidence enough that Casino mine is going to get approval! Even that meth smoking meathead would agree they ain't building a road to look at moose in a pasture.  I agree though...this is part of the risk and why a major is never going to pay top dollar until a project like Casino is fully permitted and shovel ready. Sooner, if I thought this was going to go for a low ball figure like $6, I would have cashed in ages ago. I made a good chunk of change off a wild card penny stock in December. +20 bagger on a spike. Believe you me that I when I rode that one up from .02 to .465 cashed in and put every penny into WRN in January. Really, the other one was a wild card which I saw long distance potential. And if anyone is doubting me, my +20 bagger is a spin off company from WRN. I won’t say the name though some of you can probably guess. Scooped up huge at .02...crept up to .07...crept up to the .20s and then some guy called Gentile buys in and it spikes to .465 overnight...sold a bundle, made a killing, and put smack dab into WRN in January. IMO This is the best interview Paul has done, at 20 min on tells us how close we are to something materialazing with Rio. Not another year or two,, June this year and at whay price ?  We know why the market is not placing any real value on WRN, to much uncertainty all around,, $1.90 a long way from $8.00 to $10.00 ! Rio will come in with a knock out bid to ward off any bidding war ! IMHO ...more

Agreed Marine.  I think there almost no uncertainty around RIO wanting Casino.  The only question remaining is what price they are willing to pay and what price the BOD is willing to accept matching.
Comment by jclarke042 on Feb 09, 2022 8:39am
IMO, price is already agreed to on both sides. Consider: for Rio to even get this far, Dale disclosed & Rio agreed to his price. Rio's board would've considered & approved the Strategic Investment, knowing WRN's final ask. There'll be no surprises in either board room. Only to WRN shareholders and the haters that don't believe.

I'm sure they all have a price range that will be narrowed through negotiation.  I'm guessing it's gone up over the years as the resource improved, the supply deficit became more obvious, metals prices increased and the "green" movement became more entrenched.  Also as other jurisdictions become more challenging, other mines become unpermitable and as we move ...more
