Bare Minimum…3 Major Bidding War

One is Rio. One is Newmont. One I cannot mention other than it is not AE or Kinross. Rio and the one I cannot mention are primarily interested in copper. Newmont is primarily in gold with secondary interest in Copper. AE and/or Kinross could be interested. I do not know. But the three I mentioned want and need Casino. The third major I want to mention but I absolutely cannot. All will become evident in time. I have no allegiance to any of these three companies. Winner take all. That's all I can say! And if you are a day trader set on $4-6 take out, get out. Leave room for us real investors. We have been in this for the past 16 years. We are disciplined and patient investors and know what we are doing.

The third is Barrick :-) Even Steven what's the take out?
Comment by Heywood_Silvers on Apr 30, 2022 10:31am
If Barrick is on the short list, so is BHP.  It won't be Barrick though, they are WAY too cheap - check out their dividend yield.  Not saying Barrick won't kick the tires on WRN, but a certain high grade, large sized gold project with mine construction underway in Nunavut is more likely on their radar at this point. NEM and RIO are givens at this point.  But RIO came out of ...more

It's not Barrick. More left field than that. More have Dale Corman in mind than anyone currently on the board. May have been one parting chip he left the team for legacy sake. Don't try to overthink it.

Even why the need for secrecy? Open forum to share ideas and including opinions so why can't you share exactly?

Here you go, Sooner: Teck on track to double copper output by 2023, Don Lindsay says Teck Resources (TSX: TECK.A/TECK-B; NYSE: TECK) is preparing to double its copper output by 2023 to take advantage of accelerated metal demand from global economic growth and the transition to a lower-carbon economy, president and CEO Don Lindsay tells The Northern Miner. Thanks Even--- looking forward to the next press release hopefully one of these days that states, Teck or Newmont or anyone has signed an NDA and is doing something similar to Rio ---to create some competition for the asset!  I believe that is the only way you will see anything over $6 usd per share....
Comment by Sooner on May 01, 2022 5:30pm
By the way - who in the board made the Rio prediction? Was that you or Clark?
Comment by jclarke042 on May 01, 2022 6:13pm
Wasn't I
Comment by gratvalyou on May 01, 2022 9:54pm
then there's Galore & Shaft Creek?
Comment by EvenSteven27 on May 02, 2022 6:35am
Yes, and Teck is doing Galore together with Newmont. Interesting pairing.

I think it would be imprudent to throw inflexible figure out there. Great Bear went really high without a resource estimate. Turquoise Hill should have gone higher based on what it had. No hard fast rule. Maybe ranges based on scenarios. A quick flip without a FS, well, WRN would be outright stupid. A quick flip with a FS, maybe, $12-15 + or -. More development and shovel ready $18-23. Bidding war ...more

Even, please push it to $6 tomorrow, I will be out, but push it to $6 in 5 years, I can't wait so long, it's simple to everyone, haha, frankly, Everyone can set own target, but all depend on "when", timing/price is strongly correlated due to inflation, all you know, all my complaints final target is company side, specific on management &board, they deserve the complain and ...more

you know, why WRN is here, the root reason is incompetent company, not speculators from market, because they can't get things done, reason is simple. I know Dale is respected for good smell on assets, Paul is respectwd for hard working, vitton is respected for experience, but what experience, I don't know, maybe you guys know. Anyway, all respect should make the thing done, make the deal ...more

Even, I always respect and thank you for information sharing and good points and so on, thanks, but I have different views with you on timing and management, let's keep different, maybe you will ignore me, all I do is just simple, deal, who cares about it is a jewelry of Yukon or other ranks, you invest just for gain and return.
Comment by GardenManman on May 01, 2022 3:51pm
Carl Icahn , Warren Buffett, they are totally different style on investment, but they are same on how to treat incompetent management, that's they can control their investment, I am a small investor, every time we complain company, always somebody make excuses and complaint us impatient, what a joke.
Comment by GardenManman on May 01, 2022 3:58pm
maybe Simone think me emotional expression, haha, actually it is my real idea, I pay the money, I have a right to complain company, someone say, you can go, no, you have no right ask me to do that except you pay me the money. Have a nice weekend and welcome for bloody May.
Comment by Sooner on May 01, 2022 4:37pm
Nah - won't be too bloody - Jerome will soon fold like the cheap suit everyone knows he is.

GM, it is actually the market specialists who provide liquidity to the markets.  The day traders are just a side show, they artificially inflate and deflate prices in order to profit off the swings. In the zero hour (the final upward push right before the trading halt announcing a buyout) they do provide some value to the markets and investors, otherwise they add little to no value.
