Since you asked: Not a signal. Paul's given us the signals that nothing is happening here anytime soon. Continuous slow rolling & not releasing the met work. "Maybe" drilling the second hole next year (that's Paulspeak for definitely drilling the second hole next year). And I'll save you all the suspense, it's probably more of the same low grade bulk tonnage. Fine

Realize we're in over our heads and that irrespective of the macroenvironment, we're seemingly unable to get a deal done on our terms. Right? At what point do we realize maybe the market (as defined by the few majors who can realistically take this project) thinks our asking price is too high? Realize they've never done anything to address the one concern everyone brings up

Newmont can do it alone.... but agree - and IMO shareholders should be allowed to vote on whatever offer Rio puts forward! if our bod doesn't put that forward...I'd imagine Rio at some point will just start accumulating on open market and get enough control to take care of it themselves  totally agree ---$3 usd with Rio down 50% is same as $6 usd in reality! Many won't want to

They can't "take control" given the structure, but they can issue a PR direct to WRN shareholders. "We've been trying to deal with your BOD, their asking price is unreasonable, taking X per share with us is your best chance forward," that sort of thing.
