6 weeks........

Rio's deadline is approx 6 weeks away.  What's everyone's plan if they:
  1. Walk away
  2. Do nothing / say nothing
  3. Indicate an offer
You in for the long run?  You tired of waiting & gonna throw in the towel?  Wait & see for another year?

Soooo tired.

Well, my question on why Ken went to Beaver Creek was answered - assuming you all got Sandy's email. Paul was in London Sept 12-13, and is going again October 24-28 for LME Week. Can't help but notice Rio's headquarters is also in London. IMO - 99% chance Rio extends the year, but I'm clinging the above to get me through. More than tired, Pine, but not going anywhere.

Plan is as it has been, to hold until it is bought out.
Comment by Pinegrove on Oct 14, 2022 10:56am
Hopefully I won't have to but I'll hold another year anyway..... (I've been saying that for the past few years...)

if 1.2. Happens. I plan to cut some position(maximum 50 position) to Nasdaq. And I will not complain to management again even this happen.I must consider myself failure on this investment at the end of year.

Sooner sticking around - too stubborn to move on! I think we will see an announced further equity stake by Rio and communication that WRN will work on permitting in 2023...
Comment by Pinegrove on Oct 14, 2022 12:28pm
That would be OK, as that should move SP / Market Cap to provide a base to apply a premium for the eventual offer.
Comment by Diamondboy123 on Oct 14, 2022 12:50pm
actually that upon serious reflection seems the most probable result other than a walk away.  Here's hoping to that.
Comment by Sooner on Oct 14, 2022 12:52pm
I know I know you all think this is stupid idea...but I really hope that if Rio adds to equity stake they have to acquire on open market rather than share count increase! If it's not in open market please....I'm begging WRN management to not just leave another $25M or whatever it is sitting in the bank collecting dust...but remove some of the open share count! I'm telling you right now ...more

What would each of you rather have - $50M cash with market cap of $200M or $25M cash with market cap $300M i would hope $300M !!!!    It sure investors smart enough to value the cash on hand to be honest...and impact on market cap potential...but maybe I'm wrong. Is all I know is I don't want more dilution!

In a normal market environment, buying back shares is indicitve of managment's belief that the market is undervaluing the shares.  In the current market environment where we will be witnessing the largest market bubble in history deflate, it wouldn't be the wisest move by managment to spend funds trying to slow the steam roller bearing down on them (and every other company). Now ...more

I agree, Heywood! Slowdown the burn time in that scenario and increase the runway. As for JC's question, I am here for the long run. I ain't selling one penny's worth of stock. Any shock and major drop in stock price, I am scooping up big time again like I did during the Lehman crash. I have event set powder aside for such event.

Even you can buy now.  Given that you bought in the plus 2 dollar range todays prices are a sheer bargain. No need for same price that happened over ten years ago. Need I role the tape?  Just stating the facts.

Db- agree ...for those that are SO confident that my $6 usd target is grossly understated...and they think it's going to be $20+ in a couple years....I mean cmon...what difference does it make waiting for sub $1 to buy more versus buying now at $1.3...not logical at all....
