Rio Share Purchase

Paul stated that Rio has 10 working days to purchase additional shares to maintain thier percentage ownership after shares are issued to Mitsubishi.

If they do it is an obvious sign of continued interest and they will be cheap shares as they will be paying more if they decide to make an offer.  Might as well get as many as possible at current prices.

If they don't it either means they don't plan on moving ahead with WRN or they just don't bother.

If Mitisubish  come with other guy(some guy signed C.A.): they also could get another 5% eventually, 2 joints shares will be larger than Rio, under this scenario: Rio should make serious advance  decision  before November.

Agree for the most part Clarke. $2m to maintain their existing shareholding is literally back of the sofa stuff for Rio, it's neither here nor there in terms of the bigger picture but even digging that out to maintain would add some certainty as to Rio's intentions. The 2 X CAs in the top 10 copper miners - is the real indicator for me. If Freeport-McMoRan is in those CAs we may have ...more
