Phoney markets !

Down 3.5% ??

As I have said before, these juniors like WRN who have no cash flow, just  in development stage get no love in the market. Real price determination when trading on the Casino board is useless.

One disadvantage we are faced with is trying to sell Casino based on values / price this phoney market place on it !

I can’t wait to get OUT !

At least a $5.00 $6.00,,, $800M $$ to $1B asset trading @ $2.51 ???

Remember, the market cap is based upon the marginal seller/buyer of the last lot sold.  It has absolutely zero bearing on the intrinsic value of the assets of the company being traded. Daily trading amongst flippers is just noise.  You know how the paper price of gold/silver is absolutely fake?  Well you can't put too much stock (no pun intended) in the current trading prices ...more

Heywood..S Love your post When you say, ""Daily trading amongst flippers is just noise."" This is the grand sum of price discovery on the Junior board WRN trades on.  The buyout price will be based on what Paul and Bod & who ever buying,, the day to day market price wil not be a factor !  IMHO   TSX in nothing more then a Las Vegas game of craps depending ...more

Yes, ask yourself who benefits from all the trading daily.  It is the brokerages and the market makers.  Hence short-selling, derivatives and all the rest. If you are a routine buy and hold (like yours truly) the brokerages won't make much money off us. Agreed, Paul and the BoD and RIO or other suitor(s) need to focus on the cost to buy the entire lot of stocks, not just a round ...more

I'll keep saying it and Sooner will continue disagreeing.  This will be sold for some discount (40-60%) to the NPV.  The NPV settled on will be somewhere between the FS base case NPV and Spot NPV.  I say this because any reliable analysis has metals prices well above the FS NPV for a very long time.  Current NPV is over $5B.  FS NPV is $2.3B.  Being ...more

My point:  Ignore the daily manipulated price action.  I say "manipulated" because it's obvious when you look at the trades.  The number of shares on specific trades are clwarly intended to move the price up or down.  Anyone trading that volume all at once knows it will move the price.
Comment by Sooner on Apr 18, 2023 7:00pm
I heard a story once...junior explorer NPV meets Market Cap in a dark alley.... NPV brings a knife and Market Cap has a machine gun...that as Paul Harvey would say "is the rest of the story". seriously...seems no one cares about NPV...I suppose just because it is subjective, full of risk, etc, etc, etc.
Comment by MetalMinded on Apr 18, 2023 8:40pm
And yet, as if by magic, buyouts tend to fall in a range as a percentage of NPV.  But as you said, nobody cares about them.
Comment by Heywood_Silvers on Apr 18, 2023 11:41pm
To add to your point:  market cap is subjective and based on trader whims.  NPV is at least somewhat objective based upon solid estimates and facts. Suitors often times pull fast ones and attempt to use premium to market price as a way to justify their theft.  We don't want to negotiate based on pixie dust and trader whims, we want to negotiate based on actual numbers and ...more

Yes,Thanks Heywood all makes sense ! . ""we want to negotiate based on actual numbers and intrinsic value of our project."" ""Discount to NPV is the only way to sell Casino, case closed."" The only time these phoney markets helped me was when WRN fell to .60 on panic selling during the pandemic. Markets worked in my favour back then but now is different, ...more
