Extension of time to issue ESE Guidelines
"The Executive Committee (“EC”) has decided to extend the deadline for issuing the finalized revised Environmental and Socio-Economic Statement Guidelines (“Guidelines’) for the proposed Casino Mine Project to August 17, 2023."
"After careful deliberation, the EC has decided to extend the timeline to issue the Guidelines by 120 days to August 17, 2023."
For someone who has more understnaind of the Permittng processes. Should this be considered a significant delay or 'normal course of business' so to speak?

Well, since November had been thrown out, this sounds like good news. These types of committees try to make everyone happy, or at least equally unhappy, so these kinds of delays are "normal".

This whole project is a delay. Terrible. Same old.

It would be unrealistic to expect anything in the permitting process to be quick or without delays. These types of delays up front help to keep this from being tied up in courts with appeals.

I wounder if the pending sale of the casino project to RIO has anything to do with the extenchion ? As Paul stated, better to have the mine developer (Rio) (Newmont) (BHP) submit the application to the ESE ??? As in who are we dealing with ? At some point a company like Newmont who has resolved same point with Coffee ! M2
