While we wait....

...for whatever WRN has planned to put forth, because I simply DO NOT believe Singh was appointed in a vacuum, some tangenital developments.

1. Newmont already sells one of its newly designated "non-core" assets: https://www.mining.com/fury-gold-mines-buys-newmonts-50-stake-in-eleonore-south-project-in-quebec/    Not alot of $$, but buyer was clearly lined up. I strongly suspect Coffee's being DFA (to use Major League Baseball parlance) is somehow tied to Singh's appointment.

2. Rio gets Ottawa $$ to Green up Iron Ore processing:  https://www.mining.com/web/rio-tinto-gets-13-million-from-canada-to-decarbonize-iron-ore-processing/   Again, relatively small $$, but Rio is clearly working with Canada on other Green measures. Suggests a solution to Casino/Yukon's power issue will be found.

Much happening behind the scenes, and I believe will be announced soon.

Really appreciate the analysis, tangential developments, and especially the DFA baseball reference!

Clark ---- i beleive WRN is trading at ~ 10% NPV from FS and about 5% of NPV based upon market cap. So what is Coffee "worth"??? Any guesses?? Nice to see it selling rather than waiting forever for Newmont to do something with it. Not sure Tom Palmer has such great strategy on Newmont...at least looking at share price performance!

Sooner - hard to say. But lots of laughs in this article: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/goldcorp-kaminak-purchase-closes-coffee-project-1.3688123#:~:text=and%20the%20Coffee%20project%20near,million%2C%20or%20%242.62%20per%20share. Goldcorp paid $520m in 2016, and I'd expect a significant impairment charge on the eventual sale, meaning, NEM won't get anything close to it. The " ...more
