Coffee sale

So i'll bring it up again -- assuming Coffee should sell for no more than $40M --- right?

I mean if i recall it's about a $400M capex and about $400M NPV based upon FS (and that was at 5% discount factor rather than 8% used in WRN FS on Casino!).

So 10% of $400M is $40M. I think we are trading around that level.

I believe Casino (Phase 1 FS) is about 7 times gold equivelent...so our market cap should be $280M or $1.7 USD right now if Coffiee sold for this hypothetically!

I realize it might be 3 years before Coffee sold haha....

Paul out of the blue and off the cuff a few interviews ago said something about M&A of other assets.  I am wondering if we are going to buy it and make an area play.

Metal Yes, I was thinking the same thing,, "I am wondering if we are going to buy it (Coffee) and make an area play.""  better to move on and make more of a Gold play with copper. IMO Market is more enthusiastic since Paul steped aside,, new blood,, new ideas,, new outcome ! M2

Here is an intruiging thought....... Say that WRN actually did want to take a stake in Coffee.  How would we do that?  Our $$ is allocated to get us through permitting and such.  We would have to issue shares to NEM to acquire Coffee.  That would then make NEM a major shareholder alongside RIO (giving us the possible competitive tension we all are waiting for). Possible ...more

Newmomt is already telling us all what they think of operating a mine in the Yukon. They won't accept anything but cash to exit their position in Coffee. An offer of WRN shares would get dismissed without consideration.

yeah - i agree --- NEM wants the cash to pay down debt -- i think i saw they believe they can raise $2B thru all sales of the properties they want to get rid of so they don't want the district. Agree with Metal - Paul out of the blue dropped an acquisition bomb. I mean i thought that was just shear desparaton on how poorly we've been trading and how beaten up everyone was. I also agree - ...more

50/50 chance of joint venture. if not, we've got the competition we've always been looking for. Paul is a copper guy. Sandeep is a gold guy. Rio wants our copper. Agnico likely wants our gold. if Rio takes us out, it is a copper project with gold as a bonus on the side. if Agnico takes us out, it is a gold project with copper on the side. Joint venture covers both bases. The only other ...more

I would assume any JV would include MM to some extent. Feels weird for them not to get involved and only pursue a off-take agreement.
