Likely somebody shaking out the people with stop loss
orders and some profit taking.  Gold playing with $2200 and finding a little resistance. Should break through soon.

A lot of very small trades of hundreds of shares did a lot of the drop.  A few larger trades of thousands of shares (one of 15K shares) helped keep it down.  That feeds my theory is that somebody was looking at the limit orders and saw what they needed to do to pick up shares at a lower price.

The volume on the drops sure makes it look like someone is intentionally manipulating the price down.

The stock is definitely getting manipulated. The trading platform I use allows for stock lending so I lend out all my investments to generate some additional passive income. Out of all my holdings, this is one of the only companies where my shares are always loaned out. Someone/some group out there has definitely been day-trading/shorting the heck out of this stock for the past while.

Fintel has the current short interest ratio, days covered at 2.81 on the US side, and 6.12 on the Canadian side (heavily shorted). This is probably why every time good news comes out, the stock has had parabolic rise, followed by steady decline for months. Essentially, the shorts are getting short-squeezed almost to death, but there aren't enough sustained demand/frequency of trades so they
